Our History
The GDC story dates back to 1994
Teaming up were Frank Gelonesi and Graziano “Graz” DeBortoli, who started their own firm in Sydney, called Gelonesi DeBortoli & Co.
Nine years later and with their reputation growing, the firm incorporated in 2003 to became GDC Tax Pty Ltd.
Today, 26 professional staff are employed at GDC ably supported by six administration staff members and an office manager.
It’s a hard-working team focused fully on our clients’ needs.
From day one, our mantra has been to provide the very best personal service backed by our unrivalled industry knowledge.
Our partners have been involved in public practice all their working lives, and GDC remain as focussed as ever about helping our valued clients reach their financial goals.
Meet the Directors
Graziano De Bortoli
Graziano “Graz” De Bortoli is one of the industry’s most respected figures.
He brings a wealth of experience gained from over 30 years in practice backed by high-level industry qualifications.
A Fellow Member of Chartered Accountants Australia And New Zealand (CAANZ), Graz provides professional service each and every time to his valued GDC clients.
It’s why Graz has such effective working relationships; he is known for his commitment to personal service to each client no matter the size of business.
Specifically, Graz is an ASIC-registered company auditor and has a broad knowledge in the auditing of financial reports.
Furthermore, he has considerable experience in taxation advice and planning, business planning and management as well as the preparation of annual financial accounts.
In addition to being a Fellow Member of CAANZ, Graz is an ASIC-registered superannuation fund auditor and ASIC-registered company auditor.
He is also a registered tax agent and holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Major in Accounting) from Sydney University.

Frank Gelonesi
Frank has over 40-years experience and is a highly respected figure in the industry.
He began as an assessor with the Australian Taxation Office (ATO) in 1975. Three years later and Frank started his career in practice and in this time he has built a reputation for high-level service to clients.
With his ATO experience, Frank is very knowledgeable in liaising with the Australian Taxation Office on technical issues. He is also an ASIC-registered superannuation fund auditor and a registered tax agent.
Frank has numerous memberships, including a Member of Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand (CAANZ) and a Fellow member of CPA Australia (FCPA).
He is also a Macquarie University alumnus, holding a Bachelor of Arts (majoring in Accounting and Economics) and a Master of Economics (majoring in Accounting and Finance). Frank has lectured part-time in Finance and Accountancy at Macquarie University and UWS for over 25 years.
As an example of Frank’s standing, he has been a Committee member of Regional Development Australia (a government initiative) since late 2015.
